Convenience & Gas Station Store Manager First American Position Summary First American is seeking an experienced and dependable Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our convenience store and gas station. This position is responsible for leading employees, maintaining excellent customer service, managing inventory and cash controls, and ensuring the store and fuel areas operate safely, efficiently, and profitably. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily convenience store and fuel operations. Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate employees. Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and customer-service standards. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and arrange coverage when needed. Monitor inventory, place orders, receive deliveries, and minimize product shortages and waste. Manage cash handling, register procedures, deposits, paid-outs, and shift reconciliations. Monitor sales, labor costs, expenses, and overall store performance. Maintain accurate operational, inventory, employee, and financial records. Keep the store, fuel pumps, parking areas, restrooms, and surrounding property clean and organized. Ensure pumps, registers, coolers, and other equipment are operating properly and report maintenance needs promptly. Maintain product displays, pricing, promotional signage, and merchandising standards. Respond professionally to customer questions, concerns, and complaints. Enforce safety, security, responsible tobacco sales, and company policies. Address employee performance or conduct concerns promptly and consistently. Respond to emergencies, call-offs, equipment problems, and other operational issues as needed. Perform cashier and fuel-attendant duties when necessary. Complete other duties as assigned by the Owner and/or Qualifications Previous convenience store, gas station, retail, or management experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Experience with employee scheduling, inventory management, and cash controls. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, professional, and committed to excellent customer service. Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, email, and basic computer programs. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
