Job Description:
The Compressor Tech is responsible for gas compressor station monitoring and operations, supporting safe and reliable facility performance in outdoor and facility-based settings.
Responsibilities:
Work safe and maintain a clean work area and environment; follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Attend mandatory quarterly safety meetings and trainings held in Gillett, Texas. Monitor pressure gauges; start and stop compressors; respond to station alarms; maintain gas temperatures. Troubleshoot issues on H2S Ultrafab's, Glycol Dehydration Systems (TEG), and VRU's (Vapor Recovery Units). Listen for unusual noises or identify irregularities that could indicate equipment failure. Perform spot-on and emergency repairs. Change filters in coalescing separators and dehydration systems to ensure proper facility operations. Manage water and oil API tank levels. Work with other departments to resolve issues (e.g., automation, measurement, and pigging operations). Work with high and low pressures. Operate stations within emergency shutdown setpoints including H2S, gas dewpoint, O2 levels, and gas temperatures. Perform daily visual inspections of compressor stations for leaks and unusual noises. Communicate with Field Foreman, Leads, Compressor Techs, and 3rd party companies. Perform maintenance/repairs on air compressors, pumps, valves, and regulators. Monitor separator liquid levels and make proper adjustments to dump controllers. Support overtime, shift work, and emergency callouts as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of oilfield experience. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited education source. Familiar with gas compression and process flow. Mechanically inclined. Self-motivated with a positive attitude; willing to listen and learn from peers.

Per Diem Rate:
Depends on schedule (minimum $32/day)
Schedule:
Training period (up to first 90 days): 5 on / 2 off, Monday-Friday, 8-hour days (may be evaluated before 90 days based on experience and learning progress). Post-training (after sign-off and approval): 8 on / 6 off, 10-hour days.
On-call:
On call for the full 8 days on shift, including callouts after the regular 10-hour workday. Subject to overtime, shift work, and callouts to handle system emergencies.
