Job Description

Summary Summary/Objective The General Manager, Gas Origination is responsible for delivering customer margin by establishing and expanding Jera's natural gas presence in the North American gas markets, as well as having relationships with key producers. The role originates, negotiates, and executes term supply, gas transportation, and demand origination opportunities in the assigned NA markets. Position Description Essential Functions
  • Identify and assess gas origination opportunities in alignment with company objectives.
  • Help develop and implement gas supply and trading strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry players, including gas producers, Gas Pipelines, utilities, and market participants.
  • Manage relationships with various trade desks and functional teams to work transactions through the front to back process, while providing excellent client focused service and information flow (i.e., Credit, Legal, Contracts and Compliance / Regulatory).
  • Analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and regulatory changes to make informed decisions around origination effort.

    • Negotiate gas supply contracts and manage the execution of trades.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the gas portfolio.
    • Stay updated on industry news and market developments to identify emerging opportunities.

    • Proven track record of successfully originating and executing natural gas transactions.

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or another relevant field. type="disc
    • -Minimum of 10 years in North America natural gas markets including trading, marketing, origination and/or structuring with a track record of adding value through originating commercial delivery and business growth. Preferred Education and Experience
    • Master's degree preferred.
