Job Description

A SRE Supervisor at a Fixed Base Operator (FBO) oversees the safe, efficient, and timely execution of all line service operations during an assigned shift. This role leads line service technicians, ensures exceptional customer service for aircraft owners and flight crews, and maintains compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Job Title Specialized Ramp Expert Supervisor - Aviation (FBO) Job Summary (Added to SRE Job Descriptions) The Specialized Ramp Expert Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily line service operations, coordinating aircraft ground handling activities, and ensuring employees provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe work environment. This position serves as the primary operational leader during assigned shifts and supports the FBO's commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Supervise and direct line service personnel during assigned shifts. Coordinate aircraft arrivals and departures, including marshaling, towing, parking, and repositioning aircraft. Oversee aircraft fueling operations to ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with company procedures. Monitor ramp activities to ensure adherence to FAA, OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations. Assign work schedules and prioritize tasks based on operational demands. Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational updates, weather conditions, and safety information. Train, mentor, and evaluate line service technicians on operational procedures and customer service standards. Ensure proper operation, inspection, and maintenance reporting of ground support equipment (GSE). Respond to customer requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a premium level of service. Resolve operational issues and customer concerns in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of fuel inventory, equipment inspections, shift activities, and incident reports. Assist with emergency response procedures and coordinate with airport authorities when necessary. Perform line service duties as needed during peak operational periods. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. Previous experience in aviation line service or FBO operations required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain airport security badges and other required certifications. Knowledge of aircraft fueling procedures, towing operations, and ground handling. Working knowledge of FAA regulations, safety practices, and environmental compliance. Required Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Outstanding customer service orientation. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced aviation environment. Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and FBO operational software. Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to operational emergencies. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb aircraft stairs and operate ground support equipment. Must be able to safely drive company vehicles and tow aircraft when qualified. Working Conditions Outdoor airport ramp environment with exposure to aircraft noise, jet blast, fuel vapors, and changing weather conditions. Shift work, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operational needs require. Safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to company and regulatory standards. Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
