Job Description

Position:
Cargo Van Medical Equipment Delivery Driver (Long-Distance) We are a transportation company specializing in the delivery of medical equipment, and we're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. This position starts with 32-40 , but hours may occasionally exceed 40 depending on demand. 99% of the time, all hours will occur Mon-Frid. We do not deliver on weekends or holidays, except on rare occasions.
Key Responsibilities:
This is primarily a long-distance driving position . Coverage includes all surrounding states , which includes
NM, TX, CA, NV, UT, CO, OR
(and sometimes even further depending on customer need)
Air Travel:
In addition to the driving area listed above, a successful candidate will need to be willing and able to fly to a secondary hub 1-2 times/month. That secondary hub will most likely be Portland, OR, but might change depending on customer need. This would still fall into the typical Mon-Friday travel window, with 99% of travel being only on weekdays. These are not dedicated routes, every route/day would be to different locations. Each route would average anywhere from 3 to 10 stops, sometimes more. 2-3+ overnight trips per week (likely would be consecutive nights). Stays would be in a hotel paid for on company expense card. 1-2 flights per month, expenses paid by via company expense card. Using a company owned cargo van; Load, unload, and secure medical equipment during transport. Delivery and some setup of medical equipment at patients' homes or medical facilities. Provide exceptional customer service at all times, with an emphasis on professionalism and courtesy, particularly when interacting with medical patients.
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs and move equipment up and down stairs. Comfortable driving long distances and managing overnight stays. Basic familiarity with smartphones, courier apps , and electronic communication tools (text, email). Self-sufficient and able to work independently with minimal supervision, which includes working with company manager to schedule van maintenance. MUST pass a background check, drug screening, and driving record check . Must be able to work flexible hours based on travel and customer needs. Weekend work is uncommon, but could be requested based on client or weather-related demands. Due to fleet requirements, the ability to rent a car is required Company-provided cargo van for deliveries. Company-issued expense card to cover travel expenses including hotels during overnight stays.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay: $20-22 per hour , depending on experience and interview.
After a probationary period:
Paid Time Off (PTO) available. Health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees (30-40 hours per week). 401k with company matching
Additional Details:
This is a W2 employee position, not independent contractor work. Example schedule, but may include any variation. Can discuss potential of more standard working days during the screening process based on candidate fit and resume, but must be able to have flexible working days/nights during mid-week. This is a sample of the variability of the schedule...you will rarely have the same schedule every week. Monday

  • 8 AM to 5 PM Friday
