Job Description
Job Overview Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver or Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to individuals requiring medical assistance. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients lives by ensuring timely and comfortable journeys to medical appointments, dialysis appointments, family outings, and other essential destinations. As a key member of our transportation network, you will demonstrate excellent driving skills, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. Duties Safely operate transit van to transport clients to scheduled appointments. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Ensure vehicles are maintained in excellent condition through routine inspections. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare facilities to confirm schedules and address any delays or issues promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure passenger safety at all times. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or personal belonging while maintaining proper safety protocols. Properly and frequent sanitization and use of appropriate PPE. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections. Qualifications NEMT experience preferred but willing to train. Applicants must have a valid and clean California driver's License. Pass a Criminal Background Screening and Sex Offender Registry Search at time of hire and annually thereafter. Pass a Motor Vehicle Records check at time of hire and continuously during employment. Pass a 10-panel Drug Screening at time of hire and continuously during employment. CPR/First Aid or
