Job Description

Role Objective Elevated Transport Services is seeking professional, compassionate NEMT Drivers to join our growing team. We provide critical "door-through-door" medical transportation for individuals with mobility challenges. We are looking for physically capable, safety-minded individuals who take pride in providing a high standard of care and reliability to our community. Shift Availability We are currently hiring for three primary blocks. Please specify your preference during the application process:
Early Morning Block:
4:00 AM•12:30 PM (
Focus:
Dialysis & appointment drop-offs)
Standard Day Block:
8:00 AM•5:00 PM (
Focus:
Routine medical appointments & therapy)
Evening Block:
2:00 PM•10:30 PM (
Focus:
Hospital discharges & late-day treatment returns)
Key Responsibilities Manual Mobility Assistance:
Safely operate manual wheelchair lifts and ramps. This role requires the physical ability to manually deploy, stow, and maneuver boarding equipment.
Safe Patient Transport:
Assist ambulatory and wheelchair-bound passengers with boarding/exiting. Expertly manage 4-point wheelchair tie-down securement systems to ensure passenger stability.
Defensive Driving Excellence:
Utilize defensive driving techniques to navigate traffic and weather conditions, prioritizing passenger comfort and accident prevention at all times.
Professionalism & Ethics:
Maintain a respectful, harassment-free environment. All interactions must align with our high standards of conduct and Sexual Harassment Prevention policies.
Punctuality:
Ensure on-time arrivals, recognizing that many appointments are time-sensitive medical necessities.
Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and HIPAA (Patient Privacy) regulations.
Vehicle Care:
Perform daily pre•and post-trip inspections to ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, tie-downs) is present and functional. Mandatory Training & Qualifications To maintain our elite service standards, all drivers must complete or possess:
Manual Lift Operation Training:
Specific hands-on training for the safe deployment and stowing of manual ramps and lifts.
Defensive Driving Certification:
Completion of a company-sponsored defensive driving course to sharpen hazard recognition and safety skills.
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training:
Mandatory annual training to ensure a safe and professional workspace for employees and passengers alike.
Licensing:
Valid Driver's License with a clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Certifications:
Current CPR/First Aid and PASS certification (we provide training for qualified candidates).
Physical Ability:
Must be able to push/pull manual wheelchairs, manually operate vehicle ramps/lifts, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Benefits & Compensation Competitive Hourly Pay:
$18.00•$25.00 per hour

$20.00•$25.00 per hour
