Job Description

Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Provide safe and courteous transportation from San Antonio Regional Hospital after discharge. The role of the Non-Medical Transportation Driver is to transport individuals from hospital services, such as ED or inpatient services. Drivers will use agency vehicles and adhere to all SARH and state driver regulations. Our Non-Emergency Medical transportation (NEMT) program is in place to assist patients who lack the ability to secure transportation services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Previous work experienceof at least one-year experience in transportation or healthcare-related field.
Knowledge and Skills:
Completion of Non-Emergency Medical Technician (NEMT) training or relevant experience. Compliance with company policies regarding driving records. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing and completing work assignment and other duties as assigned. Able to read a map.
License and Certifications:
EMT certification must be maintained current and active. Valid CA state driver's license, Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Workplace Violence

training required within three months of hire or transfer.
Equipment:
Computer, Monitoring equipment, wheelchair, transportation vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$23.00 - $31.82 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate's individual experience.
