Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and caring Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a compassionate nature, and a strong sense of responsibility. As an NEMT(Non-Emergent Medical Transportation )Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients reach their medical appointments safely and on time. Prior professional experience in non-emergency medical transportation, wheelchair transportation, passenger transportation, or another healthcare transportation setting is preferred but not required. Experience with Colorado NEMT providers—including MedRide, Axel Medical Transportation, or any other NEMT provider—is especially valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, treatment centers, and other healthcare facilities. Assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort. Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle, following all safety and maintenance protocols. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions clients may have. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and client information. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare providers, and clients. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Prior experience in transportation or a related field is preferred. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roads and routes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus. Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
