We are growing and looking for reliable, compassionate drivers who take pride in helping members of our community get to their medical appointments with comfort and respect. Position Overview As a RapidLift Wheelchair Driver, you will provide safe, timely, and professional non emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for passengers traveling to and from medical appointments, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and private residences. This role is ideal for someone who values service, patience, and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate a wheelchair‑accessible minivan with a rear‑entry ramp Provide door‑to‑door assistance , ensuring each passenger is secure, comfortable, and treated with dignity Transport passengers to medical appointments, therapies, and facility visits Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle environment Communicate clearly and respectfully with passengers, families, and facility staff Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Complete trip logs and documentation accurately Represent RapidLift with professionalism, courtesy, and reliability Requirements Minimum 2 years of driving experience Valid Connecticut driver's license Public Safety License (F, S, V or A Endorsement) — required Clean driving record Ability to safely operate and secure wheelchairs Strong communication and customer‑service skills Professional, patient, and compassionate demeanor Must pass background check and drug screening Why Join RapidLift Family‑owned company with a culture of respect and integrity New, well‑maintained wheelchair‑accessible vehicles Supportive team environment Meaningful work that directly helps individuals in need Competitive pay with opportunities for growth
