LE Transit is a dedicated non-emergency medical transportation company specializing in pre-scheduled and same-day medical NEMT rides. We are committed to providing reliable and compassionate transportation services to our clients, and we are currently seeking a full-time driver to join our team, specifically to transport our wheelchair clientele.
Job Description:
As a full-time driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting wheelchair-bound clients to and from their medical appointments using our company vehicle. This role requires a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and compassion. You will be representing LE Transit, ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport wheelchair clients to medical appointments in a safe and timely manner. Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort. Adhere to all traffic laws and company protocols. Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the company vehicle. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any client concerns or needs during transport. Complete daily logs and report any incidents or issues to management promptly.
Requirements:
Must be 25 years or older. Must have a clean driving record with no felonies. Must pass a 10-panel drug screening and statewide and national background checks. Reliable transportation to and from the van base daily (Company vehicles cannot be taken home overnight). Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation or working with wheelchair clients is preferred but not required. Ability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (hours may vary). Must be able to work at least 1-2 Saturdays per month Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including assisting clients in and out of the vehicle.
