Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver in, GA! Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or limousines to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other destinations within local routes. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and state transportation laws to ensure passenger safety at all times. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, monitor traffic conditions, and make timely adjustments for punctuality. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous customer service and ensuring comfort throughout the trip. Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm schedules, address special needs, or provide updates during transit. Handle heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload mobility aids or luggage securely into the vehicle. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver is highly desirable. Proven ability to operate passenger vans, limousine services, or similar passenger vehicles with a focus on safety and customer service. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes within the community. Experience in medical transportation or working with clients requiring special assistance is a strong plus. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to assist passengers safely. Understanding of state transportation regulations and adherence to all traffic laws governing passenger vehicles.
