Non-Emergency Medical Transport (NEMT) Driver GA Care NEMT Norcross, GA Job Details Full-time | Contract $16 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer service High school diploma or GED Driver's License First Aid Certification Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities Full Job Description As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the trip. You will be a vital part of our team, offering excellent customer service and building strong relationships with our clients.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle when needed. Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, clean, and ready for use. Verify patient appointments and transportation details before departure. Communicate with dispatch regarding pick-up and drop-off times, route changes, and any other relevant information. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation, including trip logs and vehicle inspections. Provide compassionate care and excellent customer service to patients. Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must pass Background Check and Drug Test Prior experience in transportation or customer service is a plus. Must pass/complete company provided certification. Ability to assist patients with mobility challenges when necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, but not required). High school diploma or equivalent.
