Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for individuals with medical needs. In this energetic and customer-focused role, you will be responsible for transporting clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations while ensuring their comfort and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in your community by delivering dependable transportation services with professionalism and care. We are specifically looking for drivers with rideshare or delivery driving experience who are comfortable navigating local routes and providing excellent customer service.
Preferred Experience:
Applicants should have previous driving experience with one or more of the following: Uber Lyft Instacart Uber Eats DoorDash Previous Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) experience is highly preferred.
Note:
We are currently prioritizing candidates with rideshare, delivery, or transportation driving experience. We also need drivers o these area: Downtown Chicago, North Side, Northwest Side, West Side and South Side. Responsibilities Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their comfort throughout the journey. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to maintain a secure environment for passengers and other road users. Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate schedules, relay important information, and address any concerns or special needs. Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist passengers with mobility devices or luggage in a respectful manner. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records for compliance and operational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles such as limousine or school bus driving. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members. Knowledge of paratransit services and experience handling specialized transportation needs is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting passengers or managing equipment. Excellent driving skills with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification where applicable. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance routines to ensure ongoing safety and performance. Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills.
