Overview Join our dynamic team as a Transport Driver (stretcher experience a plus) and become a vital part of our logistics and transportation operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating our vans to transport passengers to and from doctor appointments and other medical needs. We are looking for those individuals that are able to help a two person team to load and unload stretchers. Your dedication to excellent customer service, combined with your driving expertise, and abilities to load and unload stretchers and wheelchairs is what we are looking to add to our great team of employees. Responsibilities Safely operate our non medical transportation vans to transport passengers safely and professional to their appointments. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, ensuring comfort, and addressing any inquiries professionally. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to verify safety standards are met; perform basic maintenance checks such as fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake function. Load and unload Stretchers and Wheelchairs carefully, including handling heavy lifting tasks when necessary. Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Maintain accurate records on our Ipads that will be furnished to you to keep all data secure and up to date assisting you in your daily schedule. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly. Assist with special transportation needs such as routes or specialized paratransit services for individuals with mobility challenges. Ensure the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the vehicle to uphold safety standards and present a professional appearance. Respond swiftly to incidents on the road by communicating with dispatch and reporting incidents accurately. Experience Proven experience as a shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, or in a similar commercial driving role is highly preferred. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated. Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading stretchers and wheelchairs. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members. Experience in customer service roles that require professionalism and positive engagement. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety protocols is advantageous. Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving is essential.
