Job Description
Job Overview At A&L Transportation, we provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for non-emergency medical appointments, day programs, and personal trips. We take pride in supporting our community and ensuring every passenger arrives comfortably and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to and from medical appointments, therapy, and personal destinations. Assist passengers during boarding and exiting, including operating wheelchair ramps, lifts, and securing wheelchairs/mobility devices properly. Maintain accurate electronic or paper trip logs, including mileage, arrival/departure times, and passenger pick-up confirmations. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in top working condition. Communicate professionally and empathetically with passengers, healthcare facility staff, and dispatch.Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (No major violations in the past 3-5 years).Minimum age requirement:
21 years old. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire). Physical ability to assist passengers, lift equipment (up to 50 lbs.), and secure wheelchairs.
