In this vital role, you will oversee daily scheduling, driver management, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with transportation regulations. Your leadership will help deliver exceptional service that enhances our clients' health and well-being while maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community through effective transportation solutions. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily NEMT operations, including scheduling and routing drivers to efficiently meet client needs. Manage a team of drivers with experience in delivery, bus, shuttle, or passenger van operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and traffic regulations. Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, and ensure all vehicles comply with state transportation regulations and safety standards. Develop and implement driver training programs focusing on customer service, passenger safety, manual handling, and proper vehicle operation. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm appointments, address concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Monitor GPS navigation systems to optimize routes for local driving routes and ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Maintain accurate records of driver logs, incident reports, vehicle maintenance, and compliance documentation. Enforce policies on heavy-lifting procedures, passenger assistance, and compliance with federal and state transportation laws. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or in roles involving passenger vehicle operation with a focus on medical transportation or paratransit services. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning for local driving routes. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist passengers with mobility needs compassionately. Familiarity with manual handling techniques and vehicle maintenance procedures. Deep understanding of state transportation regulations governing commercial driving and passenger vehicles. Experience managing drivers or transportation teams in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills to coordinate schedules, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
