Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a variety of vehicles including standard minivan, wheelchair accessible vehicles, and sedans
  • Load and unload patients
  • Follow transport schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation of patients to scheduled appointments
  • Verify the accuracy of transport route and obtain necessary signatures or documentation
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles
  • Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any issues or delays
  • Operate routing software to perform, route, and complete patient transport
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a Nonemergency medical transport setting
  • Familiarity with operating vans, standard and wheelchair accessible
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as needed
  • CPR certification (or obtain within 3 months)
  • PASS Certification (or obtain within 3 months)
  • Excellent driving record with a valid driver's license
  • Clean background check and drug screen
