- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including standard minivan, wheelchair accessible vehicles, and sedans
- Load and unload patients
- Follow transport schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation of patients to scheduled appointments
- Verify the accuracy of transport route and obtain necessary signatures or documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisor regarding any issues or delays
- Operate routing software to perform, route, and complete patient transport
Experience:
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a Nonemergency medical transport setting
- Familiarity with operating vans, standard and wheelchair accessible
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as needed
- CPR certification (or obtain within 3 months)
- PASS Certification (or obtain within 3 months)
- Excellent driving record with a valid driver's license
- Clean background check and drug screen
