Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver, where you'll play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to individuals requiring medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other non-emergency travel needs. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community by ensuring clients arrive comfortably and on time. As a key member of our transportation team, you'll utilize your driving expertise and customer service skills to deliver exceptional service every day. Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including shuttle buses and paratransit vans, to transport clients to an Adult Day Care, medical facilities and other destinations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger details in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and healthcare staff to coordinate schedules and address any special needs or concerns. Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage while maintaining a respectful and caring attitude. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or limousine service is highly preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver; familiarity with paratransit or school bus driving is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed for passenger assistance or cargo handling. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, patient demeanor.
