Overview Join our dedicated team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to individuals requiring assistance getting to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients while enjoying a dynamic work environment. As a key member of our transportation team, you will ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, maintain vehicle safety standards, and deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly, professional attitude. Experience with wheelchair loading, unloading, and securement procedures is highly valued to help ensure the safety and comfort of passengers with mobility needs. Responsibilities Safely operate shuttle buses, vans, or limousines to transport clients to medical facilities and other designated locations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with mobility challenges or special needs. Safely load, unload, and secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using lifts, ramps, and tie-down equipment according to safety procedures. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety and comfort for all passengers. Communicate clearly with clients, dispatchers, and healthcare staff to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during every shift. Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any issues immediately. Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, attentive, and professional at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or as a limousine or personal driver is highly preferred. Experience with wheelchair passenger assistance, including wheelchair loading, unloading, and securement procedures, strongly preferred. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver's license or CDL). Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Knowledge of paratransit operations and safety procedures is a plus. Experience with vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early. Prior experience in school bus driving or commercial driving roles is advantageous but not required.
