Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic delivery team as a Delivery Driver/Helper, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient delivery of goods to our valued customers. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, combining driving expertise with manual handling skills to provide exceptional service. Whether assisting with loading and unloading or navigating routes, you'll be an essential part of our logistics operation, helping us deliver on our promise of reliability and excellence. Duties Safely operate box trucks while adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, assemble, and secure goods using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as dolly. Assist with warehouse operations, including moving inventory and organizing shipments for efficient delivery. Deliver appliances and furniture directly to customers' locations using only company-provided vehicles, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs. Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update status reports, and communicate effectively with dispatch teams. Practice safe lifting techniques during manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with workplace weight handling policies. Maintain professional customer service by engaging courteously with clients during deliveries and resolving any issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, appliance assembly, or warehouse operations involving heavy lifting and manual handling. Valid driver's license and DOT card with experience operating box trucks. Strong knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic laws, and navigating efficiently in various environments. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as dolly safely and effectively. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, moving items, and performing manual tasks throughout the shift. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace. Proficiency with mobile devices for route management, documentation, and communication purposes. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor during deliveries.
