Job Description
Position Summary We are looking for a reliable and organized Driver to support our manufacturing operations by delivering and picking up parts, materials, and paperwork from vendors and outside processing suppliers. This position is critical to maintaining production flow and on-time delivery performance. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Driver will operate a company van for local pickups and deliveries. Responsibilities
- Operate a company van safely and professionally for pickups and deliveries
- Pick up and deliver parts, materials, tooling, and documentation between our facility and vendors
- Transport parts to outside processing suppliers including: o Paint shops o Plating houses o Heat treat facilities o Grinding and coating vendors o Inspection and testing suppliers
- Verify part counts, purchase orders, packing slips, certifications, and traveler documentation during pickups and deliveries
- Ensure parts are properly packaged, protected, and secured during transport
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records
- Assist with shipping, receiving, packaging, and general shop support as needed
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on company vehicles
- Follow all company safety procedures, traffic laws, and ITAR/security requirements
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with customers and vendors Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate a cargo van or similar company vehicle
- Ability to lift and move packages and parts up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Good communication and time management skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stops and priorities
- Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable regulations Work Environment
- Combination of driving, warehouse, and manufacturing shop environments
- Frequent local travel to vendors and suppliers using a company van
- Fast-paced production environment with time-sensitive deliveries
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:
