Job Description
Purpose of Job:
This position is responsible for responding to routine and emergency requests to provide efficient and immediate assessment, treatment and transportation of ill, critically ill and injured patients in various setting within the scope of training under a physicians medical control authority.Job Functions:
Systematically collects and correctly analyzes assessment data. Provides appropriate direct and indirect patient care of treatment consistent with SOP's. Transfers the responsibility for the care of the patient to other qualified providers. Provides for a safe working environment with emphasis on the preventative aspects of safety. Operates and maintains ambulance and base in professional and safe manner and performs vehicle and equipment safety checks. Provide services for community events and other RMC public relation events. Assists in the completion of the departmental managerial duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. When Functioning as the supply/equipment coordinator duties include: Weekly ordering of medical supplies, medications, oxygen and/or linens.Determines and maintains adequate par levels of all supplies and/or equipment.
