As a Part-Time Medical Facility Driver/Support Services team member, you'll play an integral role in aiding the physicians, front office, clinical team and administrative staff by driving between our three main offices each day in a company vehicle, running office-related errands and performing a variety of other small tasks. This onsite position allows you to engage directly with our compassionate team and is a perfect fit for someone with several years of work experience looking for a part-time role to fill their time.

WHO WE ARE Carolina Ophthalmology is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina with primary offices in Hendersonville, Asheville, Skyland and Columbus, NC and satellite offices in Spruce Pine and Franklin. The Practice is composed of 10 physicians and approximately 90 employees.
YOUR DAY AS A MEDICAL FACILITY DRIVER/SUPPORT SERVICES
As a Part-Time Medical Facility Driver/Support Services team member with Carolina Ophthalmology, you will play a crucial role in supporting our doctors, clinical and front office staff by executing a variety of essential, everyday tasks. Your responsibilities will include maintaining company vehicles (inspections, maintenance schedules, etc.), performing very light building maintenance, and conducting administrative and courier duties that ensure our operations run smoothly. You will exercise sound judgment, uphold confidentiality, and actively contribute to our culture of teamwork and continuous improvement by managing vehicle maintenance, delivering materials between offices as needed, and assisting with the setup of a handful of annual internal events. Your dependability and integrity will be essential as you carry out these duties, ensuring that you meet the highest standards of customer service and ethical behavior in every task.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A MEDICAL FACILITY DRIVER/SUPPORT SERVICES
To excel as a Part-Time Medical Facility Driver/Support Services team member with Carolina Ophthalmology, PA, candidates must possess a solid skill set that aligns with our operational needs. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandator for this role. Successful applicants should be capable of standing and walking for moderate periods, with the ability to lift items weighing up to 45 pounds. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical for understanding instructions and collaborating with team members and management in a congenial manner. A strong foundation in computer literacy will further enhance your ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently but is not required. Ideal candidates will have the ability to manage a variety of tasks and demonstrate a positive attitude in all interactions. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Capable of walking and standing for moderate periods of time while performing the job. Requires occasional lifting (up to 45 pounds) of items above the head to place on racks. Must be a licensed driver in the state of North Carolina with a clean driving record. Must be able to understand and respond to either written or verbal instructions. Strong computer literacy is preferred. Must be able to cooperate and interact with fellow employees and management in a congenial, positive manner. High school diploma is a minimum requirement, additional formal education is a plus. Ideal candidates should have several years of prior successful work experience performing a variety of tasks in addition to interacting with other persons in a positive manner.
