Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Logistics, you will be responsible for safe and timely pick and delivery of food from our donors to our recipient partners. You will be tasked with driving and maintaining the truck assigned to you, as well as working closely with the Operations Team in order to plan routes, execute changes to the schedule, and coordinate repairs and maintenance of trucks and other equipment. Table to Table is a community-based food rescue program that collects perishable food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to organizations that serve the hungry in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Passaic counties.

Driver Responsibilities:

• Follow approved schedule for pick ups and deliveries.
• Load and unload food.
• Record pick ups and deliveries.
• Refuel and clean vehicle.
• Maintain communication with Director and Manager using company issued cell phone.
• Maintain and report any problems with company issued cell phone and tablet.
• Report road incidents to Director.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Inspect trucks and record issues.
• Follow accident procedures.
• Report mechanical problems.
• Maintain on-time schedule.
• Maintain a positive attitude with donors and recipients.
• Keep driver license up to date.
• Maintain Servsafe Certification as well as forklift operator certification
• Participate in other staff trainings required by Table to Table Operations/Management team

Driver Requirements:

• Full application will need to be filled out with Foley Services.
• Background check provided by Foley Services.
• Valid driver license
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must provide current MVR
• Must pass drug and alcohol test
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds minimal.
• Frequently carry, push or pull weight up to 80 pounds with or without a mechanical aid.
• Must pass physical and provide documentation from doctor
• High school diploma
• Table to Table works with Foley Services to stay up to date with DOT requirements.

You will periodically need to fill out information and send to Foley. Salary Starting at $22/hr . Depends on experience.
