Overview Join our dynamic delivery team as a Ground Package Delivery Driver, where you will be at the forefront of connecting communities through reliable and efficient package delivery. As a vital link in our distribution network, you will operate box trucks to transport packages across designated routes. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Drive assigned routes efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules and communicating proactively with dispatch teams via mobile devices. Verify shipments against delivery manifests, process package pickups and drop-offs, and ensure all items are handled with care during transit. Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation of all equipment. Follow all safety protocols related to warehouse operations, heavy lifting, manual handling, and load securing procedures. Skills Proven warehouse experience combined with commercial driving skills for box trucks or personal vehicles. Experience in delivery driving with a focus on adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations. Ability to manually handle packages of varying weights using proper lifting techniques; experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of material handling equipment like pallet jacks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during deliveries. Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize efficiency while maintaining safety standards. Competence in operating mobile devices for navigation, route updates, and documentation purposes.
