Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team. This role involves providing safe and timely transportation services for patients and clients to medical appointments and other destinations. The ideal candidate will have experience in wheelchair equipped van driving, along with excellent customer service skills. A valid CDL driver's license and a clean driving record are essential. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to community health and well-being while working in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles and transport patients and clients to scheduled appointments Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including routine inspections Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare facilities to coordinate pickups and drop-offs Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or personal belongings Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger details as required Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to commercial driving and passenger transport Skills Proven experience in medical transport driving and customer service. Valid CDL driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members Knowledge of paratransit operations and heavy lifting techniques for passenger assistance Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and identify potential issues Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards Experience in commercial driving or school bus driving is preferred but not required This position is vital in providing essential transportation services within the community.
