Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Cargo Van Driver to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and packages to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a cargo van or box truck to deliver goods across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices Verify delivery orders, obtain signatures, and document all delivery activities accurately using mobile devices or delivery software Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during all driving activities Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during routes Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including inventory management, moving items within the warehouse, and supporting warehouse staff with material handling tasks Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures Familiarity with warehouse operations Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or commercial trucks is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices in accordance with workplace weight handling standards Strong understanding of traffic regulations (DOT compliance), safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance routines Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during deliveries Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, route updates, and documentation purposes Join us as a Cargo Van Driver if you're energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service.
