Overview Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable transportation for patients requiring non-urgent medical appointments. As a key member of our transportation services, you will demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer service while navigating various driving environments. Duties Safely operate vehicle to transport patients to and from medical appointments. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety at all times. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Manage scheduling and coordinate pickups efficiently to adhere to appointment times while accommodating last-minute changes. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers to provide updates or address concerns professionally. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with mobility devices or luggage, always prioritizing passenger safety. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for passengers and other road users. Skills Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, healthcare staff, and team members. Demonstrated ability in customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanor that reassures passengers during their journey. Knowledge of paratransit operations and experience with heavy lifting or assisting passengers with mobility challenges. Strong attention to vehicle maintenance routines and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues when needed. Ability to navigate city streets confidently while managing time efficiently for scheduled appointments. Valid driver's license, along with a clean driving record.
Pay:
$12.00 - $23.00 per hour
