Description:
JOB SUMMARY
: Operates company owned light duty trucks and trailers to transport materials inbound, outbound and between inventory holding locations as well Milford locations. Delivers materials to customer yards and jobsites. Prepares materials for transport and loads relevant equipment. Secures materials for movement during the transport of loads. Works together with other team members to ensure all materials are delivered safely and on schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Ensures transportation equipment is properly maintained, secured, and delivered safely and timely. Ability to safely inspect transportation equipment in accordance with Milford's policy to ensure safe operation and schedules maintenance as required: trucks, trailers and load securing equipment. Ability to operate a light duty truck/trailer combination. Follows safe loading practices and secures cargo for transport. Prepares and completes necessary delivery paperwork as required. Ability to communicate with all team members. Working knowledge of shipping related terms. Schedules preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operations. Maintains daily/weekly logs of activities including relevant DOT paperwork. Other related duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
: Provide Medical Card or the ability to obtain within 30 days. Working knowledge of oilfield equipment/goods. Excellent customer service skills. Create/complete shipping documentation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to complete logbooks according to DOT regulations. Can safely operate light duty truck/trailer combinations: truck, bumper pull, gooseneck, specialty trailer. Ability to operate material handling equipment and pass operator qualification such as pallet jack, forklift, telehandler within 30 days. Ability to provide H2S and PEC certification and/or pass Milford offered course upon onboarding. Must meet DOT driver program requirements as defined by state and federal requirements. Must be able to pass a competency-based driving test and follow federal laws while driving. Constant travel with occasional overnight stays as required by business needs. Ability to use GPS/Navigation applications to determine the safest route.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
: Sales Counter/Office Customer project sites, enclosed warehouse, and storage yard. Occasional high noise level, dust, fumes such as fuel or exhaust may be encountered. Sometimes exposed inclement weather while working outside or driving vehicle. Occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions while driving. Vehicle operation up to 8 plus hours
SCHEDULE
: Available during normal operating hours with the ability to work extended hours when required by Branch Manager and weekends when required by customers. "On Call" duties required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION
: 1 Year experience in transportation or related role, required. Obtain client specific safety training provided by Milford within 2 months. Ability to provide H2S and PEC Certification and/or pass Milford offered course upon onboarding. Ability to provide Forklift Certification and/or pass Milford offered course upon onboarding.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
: Constant travel with occasional overnight stays as required by business needs. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, reach with arms, kneel and push/pull/lift 50 pounds. Ability to walk long distances in rough terrain. Stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing ramps or stairs. Ability to wear PPE. Reaching overhead, at or below shoulder level. Keyboarding. Driving (and ability to maintain valid driver's license and pass MVR in accordance with insurance requirements) Sitting for long periods of time. Standing for extended periods of time
