POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Installer plays a vital role in ensuring safety, quality, and production efforts within the company. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization in multiple warehouse locations and job sites, assisting with unloading and organizing incoming freight, and preparing items for pre-assembly and installation. Operates various hand-held and battery-powered tools, including forklifts, and assists in loading completed projects into vehicles. Additionally, they maintain outdoor grounds, organize job materials, and manage workflow to alleviate bottlenecks. They also handle specific lifting and conveyance equipment and may run local errands using company vehicles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Engage in safety, quality, and production efforts.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse, warehouse 3 and job site.
  • Help Warehouse personnel with unloading incoming freight and organizing materials to the appropriate project staging area.
  • Assist in moving excess freight to and from remote warehouse location in Danville, PA.
  • Help "prep" items for Pre-assembly and assist Field Installer II and Team Leaders with the pre-assembly of Jobs to ensure accuracy of product manufactured per engineering Shop Drawings.
  • Operate hand-held battery-powered tools such as drill, driver, and sander/grinder.
  • Load completed projects into truck / van as per Load List and as directed by Warehouse Team Leader.
  • Operate forklift in conjunction with Warehouse duties.
  • Maintain outdoor grounds in a timely manner including flowerbeds, truck wells, back area under the roof and dumpster area.
  • Help Warehouse personnel to organize jobs in both warehouses so that everything is labeled and together in one spot and sequenced based on the Project List schedule.
  • Assist in alleviating bottlenecks by effectively managing the workflow coming out of and going into the Shops.
  • Utilize specific company-supplied lifting and conveyance aides such as counter-top grippers, team lifts over 50 lbs., flat carts, J-bars, dollies, hand trucks, drywall carts when handling equipment / counters / accessories,
  • Run local errands such as Cole's Hardware, Home Depot, Lowe's, Larry's Lumber or Custom Metal Coating, for examples, as provided under AESI Auto Policy utilizing company van or company pick-up truck.
  • Take special care in operating company vehicles to and from job sites safely and within the law.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of company vans and trucks including stock items, supplies, and tools.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked job box with regards to both safety needs and installation needs.
  • Ensure team working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards with regard to organization, cleanliness and safety.
  • Assist Installation Jobsite Lead with unloading, preparing, and installing product at the job site.
  • Represent the company well and treat customers and anyone on the job site with the utmost respect and courtesy.

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
  • Comply with all Employer and OSHA Safety Guidelines.
  • Successfully complete certification in First Aid / CPR / AED and LO/TO.
  • Maintain up-to-date status on Non-CDL Medical Card.
  • Provide regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to be self-motivated with little supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members within the department and in other departments to explain problems or issues.
  • Good communication skills with customers, Sodexo reps, and other personnel at job sites.
  • Ability to interpret Shop Drawings and read cut sheets on equipment.
  • Possess a working knowledge of use and maintenance of all tools in all installations.
  • Working knowledge of all job functions required in all installations.
  • Complete Company-provided Forklift Training which includes 75 min instruction, written test and practical hands-on test.
This is a mandatory requirement prior to any operation of the forklift.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing over 50 lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching during warehouse and job site activities.
  • Manual dexterity and strength for operating hand-held battery-powered tools, including drills, drivers, and sanders/grinders.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, requiring physical coordination and agility.
  • Utilization of specific company-supplied lifting and conveyance aides for handling equipment, counters, and accessories.
  • Safe operation of company vehicles for local errands and transportation of materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols and driving laws.
  • Maintenance of organization and cleanliness in company vans, trucks, and job boxes, involving physical tasks such as stocking supplies and tools.
  • Assistance in unloading, preparing, and installing products at job sites, which may involve heavy lifting and physical labor.
  • Demonstrated respect and courtesy towards customers and individuals on job sites, reflecting positively on the company's image.
  • Compliance with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.
