Job Description
Ambulance / Wheelchair Driver - Sign-On Bonus - Easley, SC Freedom 1st Medical Transport is looking for a motivated, dependable Ambulance and/or Wheelchair Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you'll safely transport patients and clients to medical appointments, care facilities, and other destinations, making sure every ride is comfortable and secure. Your energy and customer service skills will go a long way in giving our passengers a positive experience, and this position offers real training and paid growth in a job that makes a genuine difference in people's lives. Responsibilities Safely operate ambulances, wheelchair vans, or other specialized vehicles to transport patients or clients to medical appointments, care facilities, or other destinations Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices such as wheelchairs or stretchers Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Communicate clearly with dispatchers, medical staff, and passengers to coordinate schedules and provide updates during transport Maintain accurate documentation of trips, passenger details, and vehicle logs according to company policy Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and health regulations during every shift Provide excellent customer service with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication at all times Requirements Valid driver's license Strong communication skills for interacting with passengers and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures Experience with paratransit services or commercial driving is a plus A positive attitude and professional, customer-first demeanor Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep to a schedule About Us We value friendly, considerate communication and pay close attention to detail.
