JOB PURPOSE

Remote health care practitioner (RHCP) will provide contract services to XstremeMD (XMD) clients and will strive to provide these services in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients' status, plan of care, and goal achievement. To provide qualified medical support to the organization, ensuring all team medical needs are met. RHCPs are expected to give equal consideration to health, safety, environment, cost, and people in their daily operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide efficient health care service utilizing telemedicine. Assist physicians in all aspects of patient care while on project. Provide medical welfare and management for all personnel in remote locations. Perform Biometric Testing as requested by clients. Remains knowledgeable and up to date in

client and regulatory agencies (OSHA etc.) policies and protocols. Maintain patient records within our onsite electronic medical record. Work with case managers to facilitate medical care for clients. Assist client with development and maintenance of onsite Medical Emergency Response Plans. (MERP) Maintains competency in the use of all onsite telemedicine, laboratory, and diagnostic equipment. Perform DOT & Non-DOT urine drug collections regularly. Perform Occupational testing to include audiometry, PFT, and Respiratory Fit Testing regularly. Monitor any ongoing illness or injury with patient follow ups. Maintain clinic and equipment to a high standard. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Maintains inventory of medications, supplies and equipment according to XMD policies. Medication and Supply Audits Maintains a patient encounter log in electronic medical records. Ensures all follow ups are completed in a timely manner. Maintains good communication and interpersonal relations with client representatives, XMD staff and crew members. Participates and contributes in all onsite safety meetings. Assist in performing and documenting daily/weekly/monthly inspections of equipment and materials as per client, XstremeMD, local and international regulations. Maintain regulatory compliance related to function in job. Treat all coworkers, clients and patients with fairness, respect and professionalism. Occasional offsite client testing and education per client request. Any other training required by client. Complete and upload patient paperwork. Ensure an organized, clean, and tidy workspace. Cleaning of clinic spaces as needed Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year of industrial medical experience in a remote medical environment, required. At least 3 years of medical experience in an ambulance or emergency room setting, preferred. Complete relevant continuing education courses to remain competent in remote and industrial medicine. Good safety record from past operations. Working knowledge of HSEQ practices common to the industry. Leadership and teamwork skills/behaviors which support team based operations. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations. Good computer skills. Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety protocols Excellent organizational skills Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive situations Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team Detail-oriented and organized

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Advanced Remote Emergency Medical Management (AREMM)

BLS ACLS

NREMT/State Paramedic Certification PFT and COHC (Audiometry) Certifications UDS and BAT Certifications TWIC Card, if required for client location.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Rotational shift work, regularly working away from home not less than 2 weeks per shift Willingness to work overtime, additional shifts, weekends and holidays per XMD or Client request. May require extensive travel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during patient assessments and testing procedures. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate medical equipment, keyboards, and testing tools. Ability to assist patients with limited mobility during physicals or injury assessments, which may require pushing, pulling, lifting, or transferring up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching to perform exam procedures or retrieving medical supplies. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as audiometric testing, pulmonary function tests, or vision screenings. Visual and auditory acuity are necessary to accurately assess patients and perform tests (e.g., eye exams, hearing tests). Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations involving patient care. Tolerance for working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and interactions with patients. Ability to tolerate outdoor conditions during all seasons. Ability to care for patients in a remote environment with delayed definitive medical care.
