Angel Rides, Inc. Join One of the Fastest-Growing EMS Agencies in the Region Angel Rides, Inc. is seeking dependable, professional EVOC-certified drivers to join our growing EMS team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in working in the EMS environment who may not currently hold an EMT certification. Our EVOC Drivers work alongside our clinical providers and play an important role in safely transporting patients, maintaining ambulance readiness, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization. We are currently accepting applications for Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions. What You'll Do As an EVOC Driver with Angel Rides, your primary responsibility is the safe and professional operation of company ambulances and vehicles while supporting the EMS crew throughout the shift.Responsibilities include:
Safely and professionally operate ambulances and other company vehicles Transport patients and EMS crews during non-emergency and interfacility medical transports Assist with transports to and from hospitals, emergency departments, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, physician offices, dialysis centers, and residences Complete required daily vehicle and equipment inspections Ensure assigned units are clean, properly stocked, and ready for service Immediately report vehicle damage, mechanical concerns, equipment deficiencies, or other safety issues Restock supplies used throughout the shift to maintain unit readiness Fuel the ambulance at the completion of the shift so the next crew is ready for service Assist EMS providers with loading, unloading, and movement of patients as appropriate Clean and disinfect the patient compartment, cab, stretcher, and associated equipment between transports Maintain the exterior cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned vehicles Assist with special-event standby coverage, community events, public relations activities, and delivery of medical equipment or supplies as assigned Attend required company meetings, training sessions, and continuing education Work cooperatively with EMTs, AEMTs, Paramedics, dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and other members of the EMS system What We're Looking For We want drivers who understand that operating an ambulance comes with a higher level of responsibility than operating a typical passenger vehicle.Successful candidates should demonstrate:
Safe and defensive driving habits Professionalism and good judgment Dependability and punctuality Strong communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of an EMS crew Respect and compassion when interacting with patients and families Attention to vehicle and equipment readiness Ability to follow company policies and operational procedures Willingness to learn and grow within the organization Requirements Current EVOC certification with appropriate driving experience Must be at least 22 years of age Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to report to scheduled shifts on time, in proper uniform, and prepared to work Ability to successfully complete company orientation, driver evaluation, and required training Ability to safely operate larger vehicles in varying traffic, weather, and road conditions EMS experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements This is an active position that requires assisting EMS crews with equipment and patient movement.Applicants must be able to:
Lift, carry, and balance at least 125 pounds when equally distributed Assist with loads of 250 pounds or greater with assistance Lift to a height of approximately 33 inches Carry or maneuver equipment and loads for distances of approximately 10 feet Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and assist with stretcher operations Safely enter and exit ambulances throughout the workday Why Work for Angel Rides?
