The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring comfort and timely arrivals. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and adherence to safety protocols. Duties Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and professional customer service. Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards before and after each trip. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times. Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, including loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical staff, and passengers to coordinate transportation schedules. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications Required Age/License:
Minimum of 21 years of age. Valid Driver's License Must have no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years. Must not have negative points on driving record.
Physical Ability:
Ability to assist to and from vehicles if necessary. Must be able to sit for extended periods. Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Communication:
Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. Clean Drug Test/Background check Smartphone Preferred Modivcare license/experience/training MTM Experience Experience with NEMT driving Experience in a patient care, healthcare, or customer service environment. Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns. Excellent driving record (+2 or more license points) Work Environment This is a highly active role that involves driving in all weather conditions. The driver will interact with a diverse patient population, some of whom may have complex medical needs or require significant physical assistance. The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the company's hours of operation.
