In this vital role, you will operate passenger vehicles, including vans, ensuring timely and comfortable rides for individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Your positive attitude and excellent driving skills will help enhance the well-being of our clients while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through professional and courteous service. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans or personal vehicles to transport clients to scheduled medical appointments and other destinations. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies during all driving activities. Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles, including routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated local routes efficiently while adjusting plans as needed for traffic or client requirements. Communicate professionally with clients, healthcare facilities, and dispatch staff to confirm schedules and address any concerns. Ensure proper documentation of trips, mileage logs, and client interactions in accordance with company policies. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while prioritizing safety at all times. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur is highly desirable. Experience operating passenger vans or similar large vehicles such as medical transport vans is preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes enhances efficiency in route planning. Knowledge of manual handling techniques ensures safe loading/unloading procedures. Background in medical transportation or working with clients requiring special assistance is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients while providing exceptional customer service.
