Full-time / Contract About the Role Affordable Care Transportation Services LLC is seeking compassionate, reliable, and safety-conscious Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to transport clients to medical appointments, dialysis centers, physical therapy, and care facilities throughout Virginia. If you take pride in serving your community, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring patients reach their medical appointments safely and on time, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities Safe Passenger Transport:
Transport passengers safely and efficiently to and from medical appointments in company vehicles, adhering to designated schedules and all Virginia traffic laws.
Passenger Assistance:
Provide courteous assistance to clients during boarding, securing, and exiting the vehicle (door-to-door / curb-to-curb service).
Dispatch & App Operations:
Utilize mobile navigation (GPS) and transportation management apps (including MediDrive) to track routes, record trip status, and maintain real-time communication with dispatch.
Vehicle Care & Inspection:
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection checklists daily; maintain interior/exterior vehicle cleanliness.
Professional Communication:
Maintain clear, professional, and respectful communication with clients, healthcare facility staff, and dispatch team members.
Qualifications & Requirements Required:
Driver's License:
Valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of professional driving or customer service experience with a strong track record of punctuality.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency operating smartphones, GPS navigation, and mobile driver apps.
Background Check & Screening:
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and a 10-panel drug screening.
Availability:
Flexible availability between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Physical Capability:
Ability to assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles safely.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Highly Preferred:
Direct experience handling trips originating from state/third-party brokers like ModivCare (formerly LogistiCare). Experience operating or managing dispatch workflows inside the MediDrive driver app platform. Active CPR / First Aid certification or Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
