Transportation Mount Vernon, WA We move Skagit Valley. Since 2010 we have been getting seniors and disabled adults to the appointments they cannot get to on their own. Dialysis. Chemo. Surgery. Specialists. We run a fleet of minivans and wheelchair accessible vans across Skagit and Whatcom counties. We are family owned. This is not emergency work. No lights, no sirens, no patient care. It is professional passenger transportation for people who are counting on you to show up. We are hiring full time drivers. What the job actually is You report to our Mount Vernon yard at the start of your shift and pre trip your vehicle. Dispatch sends your route the afternoon before, usually around 4 PM. You run it. Schedules change mid shift and you adapt.

A typical day:

Trips across Skagit and Whatcom counties Operate a hydraulic lift and secure wheelchairs with a four point tie down on every trip Walk passengers door to door. Some need an arm. Some need a chair pushed up a ramp. Document each trip on the tablet before you pull away from the curb Navigate with Google Maps, stay in touch with dispatch on Slack Post trip, fuel, and clean the vehicle at end of shift Schedule Shifts start between [5:30 AM and 7:30 AM]. Routes run [8 to 10] hours. Monday through Friday, with Saturday coverage as needed. This is an assigned schedule, not a flexible one. Our routes are contracted volume, not app based demand. If you want to pick your own hours week to week, this is not the job. Please read before applying. 25 or older (our insurance requirement) Valid Washington driver license held at least 3 years Clean WSDOT driver abstract. We pull a full abstract on every finalist. No DUI or reckless driving conviction No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years No at fault collisions in the past 3 years Pass a criminal background check and a pre employment drug screen Able to lift and pull 50 pounds and push a loaded wheelchair up a ramp, repeatedly, all day On your feet, in and out of the vehicle, for a full shift in Washington weather Comfortable with a smartphone or tablet. We will teach you our apps. Working cellphone with a hands free earpiece What you do not need No CDL. No EMT license. No medical background. We train you on wheelchair securement, passenger assistance, and first aid/CPR, and we pay you for that training. Who does well here Patient people who like older adults. People who show up on time every single day. Former school bus drivers, paratransit drivers, shuttle drivers, caregivers, and CNAs do well here.
