Job Description

Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and professional delivery service while maintaining company vehicles, assisting customers, and supporting warehouse operations. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, safe driving practices, and the ability to perform physically demanding work on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery & Customer Service:
Organize and prioritize daily delivery work orders by delivery area and requested delivery times to maximize route efficiency. Contact customers each morning to provide an estimated delivery time window. Load the delivery truck to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate deliveries. Deliver water, salt, and related products to residential and commercial customers in a courteous and professional manner. Complete delivery receipts accurately and legibly for both customers and office records. Collect and properly process customer payments, including cash and checks, following company procedures. Balance receipts, payments, and cash at the end of each workday.
Vehicle Operation & Maintenance:
Safely operate a one-ton box truck while complying with all traffic laws and company safety policies. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Replace forklift fuel tanks and perform routine fluid level checks as required. Refuel company vehicles and monitor fluid levels. Schedule required vehicle maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues. Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of both the interior and exterior of company vehicles. Company vehicles must remain parked at the company facility when not in use. Drivers are responsible for any costs associated with moving violations incurred while operating company vehicles.
Warehouse Responsibilities:
Restock shop inventory for customer pickups as needed. Assist customers with loading products into their vehicles. Receive and unload delivery shipments. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and work area. Verify shipments and sign packing lists and shipping documents accurately. Assist in maintaining organized storage areas and inventory.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly lift and carry 45-50 pound water bottles and salt bags. Safely transport products into homes and businesses, including navigating stairs and uneven surfaces. Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. Transfer a cumulative weight of approximately 4,000 pounds or more during a typical shift. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and warehouse environments.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Completed Application and Motor Vehicle Records Form. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious.
