In this role, you will be responsible for delivering furniture and household items to customers' homes using a box truck, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Your positive attitude and excellent customer service skills will help create a memorable experience for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, combining driving, manual handling, and assembly tasks to bring comfort and convenience directly to our customers' doorsteps. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle for local furniture deliveries, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and secure furniture items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Deliver furniture items directly to customers' homes or designated locations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Assemble furniture pieces on-site following provided instructions, demonstrating proper manual handling and safe lifting practices. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, addressing questions professionally, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon delivery. Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices or digital tools; update delivery status promptly. Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and assembly processes to prevent injuries and damage. Experience Previous warehouse experience or experience in warehouse operations is preferred. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload procedures. Familiarity with commercial driving, including operating box trucks. Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving large or bulky items safely. Knowledge of material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks is a plus. Ability to adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards during all phases of delivery and assembly. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments.
