Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Movers and Drivers, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient transportation and relocation services. This energetic position combines the physicality of moving heavy items with the responsibility of safe, timely delivery. You'll be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting goods using various types of vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, while providing excellent customer service throughout each delivery or move. Duties Safely load and unload items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts Operate box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Drive route-specific deliveries or moves, adhering to scheduled timelines and traffic regulations to ensure punctuality Assist with moving tasks, including heavy lifting and proper manual handling practices to prevent injury Load and unload cargo efficiently while maintaining safety standards for weight handling in the workplace Use mobile devices to navigate routes, update delivery statuses, or communicate with dispatch teams Ensure all cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents Skills Previous warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly desirable Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and customer service excellence Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or trucks with manual transmissions Knowledge of material handling equipment operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy lifting tools Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic regulations and safety protocols at all times Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members Experience in courier or load & unload roles is beneficial for success in this position This role offers an engaging environment where your physical skills and driving expertise come together to deliver exceptional service.
