We're looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Workshop Prep Assistant and Furniture Mover.Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to assist with customer pickups and deliveries. This position will assist in our workshop with various preparation tasks, as well as helping with the safe moving and delivery of furniture pieces. This is an essential role in ensuring smooth operations within our workshop and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:
Workshop Assistance:
Work with our inventory and floor managers to prep furniture. (training provided) Assist in organizing and maintaining the workshop space, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently. Support inventory and floor manager to ensure deadlines are met for moving furniture to our sales floor Handle furniture parts and components with care to avoid damage.Furniture Moving & Delivery:
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting furniture to and from our store and customer locations. Assist floor manager with furniture moves and staging of the show room Ensure all furniture is moved carefully and safely, following best practices to avoid damage. Help assemble or disassemble furniture as required during transport or installation.Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role, especially in a workshop or furniture-making environment, is a plus. Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks. Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and workshop safety practices. Valid driver's license and willingness to learn how to drive our box truck. CDL not required Strong attention to detail, organization, and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.Benefits:
