Job Overview We are seeking energetic and reliable Movers/Packer/Drivers to join our dynamic team. This seasonal position is responsible for packing, moving, loading, unloading, and setting up furniture at various locations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling, packing, loading, and delivering products to our stores. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Furniture Handler Responsibilities Safely load, unload, pack, and organize merchandise using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for local deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Drive route schedules confidently, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining a professional attitude with team members. Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes effectively and document delivery details accurately. Load and unload goods with proper manual lifting practices to prevent injury and ensure safe handling of heavy items. Communicate effectively with team members to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license for box trucks or vans; experience with personal vehicle delivery is a plus. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks safely. Organizational skills Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace. Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and route driving protocols. Strong problem-solving skills to determine the safest and most efficient way to transport items.
