Welcome Home MoverJOB DESCRIPTION
The Welcome Home Mover will support Homeward Bound's work to end homelessness through the Welcome Home Program, which provides every Homeward Bound client moving into housing with the basic furniture and household goods needed to make their new housing a home. The Welcome Home Mover will be picking up donations from the community and delivering them to our newly housed clients. The Welcome Home Mover will work closely with Welcome Home staff and Homeward Bound case managers.JOB TYPE
Part time position hourly non-exemptSchedule:
20 hours weekly, Monday through ThursdayLOCATION
205 Elk Park Drive, Asheville, NC 28804 MAINDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Welcome Home Program Manager with donation pickups (picking up and loading furniture from the homes or offices of members of the community) Assist the Welcome Home Program Manager with client move-ins (load trucking with furniture and deliver to Homeward Bound clients' homes) Promote Homeward Bound of WNC and its mission to end chronic homelessness Work with staff/ volunteers towards the achievement of department and organizational goals. Support case managers with move-ins, move-outs, and furniture requests Maintain organization throughout the donation center Greet all donors in a friendly and helpful mannerQUALIFICATIONS
