Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Mover to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting, loading, and unloading household and commercial items, ensuring a smooth and efficient moving process. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will help create positive experiences for our customers while maintaining high standards of professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in moving, driving, and customer service within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Safely load and unload items using proper manual handling techniques, heavy lifting practices, and equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary Drive box trucks or vehicles following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and established routes to deliver items efficiently Assist customers with their belongings, providing excellent customer service and clear communication throughout the moving process Load and secure items in trucks to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate weight handling methods Unload items at the destination, ensuring careful handling and placement according to customer instructions Maintain safety standards by practicing safe lifting practices, adhering to workplace weight handling guidelines, and operating manual transmission vehicles responsibly Support team members with moving tasks, including packing, wrapping, and organizing items for transport Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or moving experience preferred but not required; training will be provided Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience; familiarity with box trucks or drivers is a plus Experience with delivery driving, route driving, or courier services highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following safe lifting practices Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace Comfortable operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks; certification is a bonus Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor Join our team to be part of an energetic environment where your efforts directly contribute to helping customers move forward!
