Full-Time Job Description This position is responsible for campus deliveries, relocation of property, and setup of special events. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, and other vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Arrange goods within the warehouse in an orderly manner, optimizing available space and ensuring easy accessibility for retrieval and distribution. Set up and arrange event furniture, including tables and chairs Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with various populations, the University community, and the public. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, pallet jack, and forklift. Ability to use basic hand tools to assemble/disassemble furniture. Ability to read and follow directions from work orders or confirmation of facilities request sheet. Ability to write legibly and process work orders. Ability to recognize occupational hazards and take appropriate safety precautions. Ability to deliver freight and University property to the designated location. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position. Ability to set up furniture, equipment, etc. for special events. Ability to work occasional overtime as needed. Physical Requirements
Heavy Work:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Required Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Valid driver's license.
