Role:

The Mover-Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of clients' belongings from one location to another. This position requires a combination of driving expertise and physical capability to load, transport, and unload household or commercial items with care and professionalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good working order and adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Additionally, the Mover-Driver will provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and team members throughout the moving process. Ultimately, this role contributes to a positive moving experience by delivering items on time and in excellent condition.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 2 years of commercial driving experience. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and safety regulations. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Previous experience in driving and moving or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with large moving trucks and specialized moving equipment. Training in safe lifting techniques and injury prevention. Customer service experience in a moving or logistics environment. Familiarity with the local area and efficient route planning.

Responsibilities:

Operate moving trucks safely and efficiently to transport clients' belongings to designated locations. Load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items carefully to prevent damage during transit. Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper maintenance and report any issues promptly. Communicate with clients to coordinate pick-up and delivery times and address any concerns. Assist with packing and unpacking items as needed, ensuring proper handling and placement.

Skills:

The Mover-Driver uses driving skills daily to navigate safely and efficiently between locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Physical strength and stamina are essential for loading and unloading items without causing damage or injury. Communication skills are employed to coordinate with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing any issues that arise. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance helps in identifying and reporting mechanical problems to avoid delays. Additionally, organizational skills assist in managing schedules and routes to optimize the moving process.

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
