Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Mover/Driver to join our team. 2 years of experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in moving and delivery, with a focus on customer service and safety. This role requires a skilled operator who can handle a variety of vehicles, including box trucks, and vans. The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting household goods, navigating routes, and providing exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods and equipment.
• Drive safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Plan and execute delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Load and unload goods, utilizing heavy lifting techniques and equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery and pickup times, routes, and any issues that may arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Proven experience as a lead driver, with a focus on moving and transporting goods.
• Ability to operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks and vans.
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to navigate routes and plan delivery schedules effectively.
• Physical stamina to withstand the demands of moving and lifting heavy objects.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.

Basic Skills:

Loads and unloads furniture and related materials onto and off trucks, ensuring that appropriate padding and straps/tape are used to prevent damage Oversees the work of employees in supporting roles, including assigning workload and monitoring employee performance while maintaining safety protocols Maintain a professional relationship with all employees and management Train employees on moving processes such as loading, wrapping, and packing Interact courteously with customers to communicate ETAs, obtain payments, signatures Be able to lift up to 70lbs on their own Perform daily truck inspections prior to going out on jobs. Must be thorough with notes and report any issues to the office immediately Ability to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervision Make sure time is properly managed by employees/crew members including breaks Manage toolboxes and other tools
