Job Description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a F-16V Instructor Pilot for the ARCWERX Research, test, Evaluation, Modernization and Innovation Support (ARTEMIS), supporting training efforts based primarily at 162nd Wing at Tucson Air National Guard Base, AZ. As an F-16 Instructor Pilot you will serve as the 162nd Wing, 21st Fighter Squadron Technical Designation Letter (TDL) Instructor Pilot under the ARCWERX Research, Test, Evaluation, Modernization and Innovation Support (ARTEMIS) Task Order. Candidate will provide Instruction in the F-16V in support of the Taiwan Air Force and ancillary squadron support taskings. Additionally, the candidate will meet the requirement stated in
DCMA 8210.1D
Contractor Flight Operations and meet Combat Mission Ready proficiency requirements. In addition, candidates shall be proficient with employing current and emerging F-16 tactics, techniques and procedures in all-weather, day or night training environments. Your essential job functions will include but will not be limited to:
  • Assist in developing tactics, techniques, procedures, training programs for the F-16V
  • Mission planning, briefing, intelligence assessments, flight operations, and debriefings
  • Academic instruction, simulator instruction, courseware development, academic development, training program management, and flight evaluations/checkrides
  • Operate 9G aircraft in a contested environment against some of the world's most advanced naval and air assets with little-to-no notice
  • Conduct mission-type orders under severely degraded command and control operations
  • Execute defensive counter-air from 360-degrees of approach against 5th generation enemy air dominance platforms
  • Employ precision anti-ship weapons against advancing naval action groups
  • Deny lodgment of enemy naval vessels with precision strike weapons
  • Integrate with coalition forces to penetrate mobile integrated air defense platforms
  • Conduct close air support operations with the
Taiwan Army Required Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
  • At least twenty (20) total years of experience (required)
  • At least eight (8) years of operational flight experience (required)

DCMA INST 8210.1D
contract aircrew requirements
  • F-16 instructor experience with a
K11F3H / T11F3H / W11F3H
Air Force Specialty Code (required)
  • Currently qualified or previously qualified within 36 months of date of hire (required)
  • Graduate of a formal US Air Force/US Navy flight training program (required)
  • Minimum of 1,000 F-16 hours (required)
  • FAA Flying Class II physical (required)
  • FAA Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot
  • Able to maintain a SECRET clearance (required)
  • Available to fly a minimum of eight sorties per month (required)
  • Available to work a full-time schedule aligned with the 162d Operations Group (required)
  • Available to complete tasks at the commander's discretion, which include, but are not limited to, ancillary duties in Standardization and Evaluation, Training, Operations Supervision, etc. (required)
  • Available to travel to Taiwan for training purposes (required)
  • No history of substance abuse, non-judicial punishment, adverse administrative actions, or military discharge under other than honorable conditions (required)
  • No history of FAA or military aviation disqualification (required)
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
  • Graduate of Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center, or USAF Weapons School (desired)
  • Previous FMS instructional experience (highly desired)
Educational Requirements:
BA/BS required.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is expected. Candidates should anticipate four weeks per year. Non-traditional work hours will be required.
Clearance Requirements:
