SUPERVISORY AIRCRAFT
Flight Instructor, GS-2181-13 , you will direct and coordine all light operions and training activities the installion and supervises the AASF Flight Operions Section. Manages the Aviion Training Program for the AASF and oversees the Additional Flight Training Program (AFTP). Consults with unit commanders to determine the training requirements to enable individual aviors and crew members to maintain comb readiness and proficiency in g1ven types of aircraft. Formules and oversees individual avior and crew member training to achieve the specified training goals. Plans flying programs in cooperion with maintenance personnel to promote maximum utilizion of aircraft and accessory equipment. Oversees flight cost analysis and coordinion of all flight mission requests other than in connection with Annual Training and Aviion Unit Inactive Duty Training. Oversees execution of the training program in accordance with the Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) Flight Training Program or aviors and aero scout crew members, utilizing single or twin (multi) engine aircraft (airplanes or helicopters). This program includes instruction and evaluion of red aviors and, where approprie, aero scout crew members in basic and advanced flight and instrument flight techniques required to fly tactical and comb type operions. The assignments involve a broad range of hazards from mini mal to substantial depending on nure of the training which includes the use of night vision devices and the conduct of aerial gunnery, multi-ship operions and air-to-air comb maneuvers in a terrain f light environment. The incumbent is required to perform these flight maneuvers during day and night under adverse weher conditions, maximum gross weight, outside the recommended weight velocity profile, over hazardous terrain such as mountain, high desert, and heavily vegeted areas with few or no safe emergency landing areas. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
GS13 Must have least one year of specialized experience the GS-12 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience in military service aviion programs (active duty or reserve components); or, in the Army Nional Guard Aviion Support facilities; or, Air Nional Guard Operions Groups; experienced in reading and applying mission tasks, intelligence reports, and weher informion; experienced in supervising and conducting mission planning, mission preparions, filing flight plans, and conducting crew briefings; experienced in aircraft preflight inspections, aircraft loading, equipment assessments, and mission manning; experienced in opering aircraft controls and equipment; experienced in performing and supervising the work procedures involved in navigion, in-flight refueling; search and rescue operions; and, surveillance and reconnaissance missions; experienced in conducting and supervising crew member training on simple to complex mission specific tasks; experienced in developing plans and policies, monitoring operions, and briefing commanders; experienced in flight theory, air navigion, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft opering procedures, and mission tactics; experienced in planning and preparing for missions; experienced in piloting and instructing others in piloting specific air-frame/military aircraft; experienced in various piloting administrive tasks performed in support of Army or Air Nional Guard aviion programs; experienced in aviion unit quality control management programs.
